My parent's gave my dog away... should I do this?

My parent's gave my dog away he was only 2 years old, I had him since he was a baby. I will miss him forever, he was my life. He was a good dog he listens when you tell him to do something. I just miss my dog he was the best.. :) And I don't know how to deal with this pain of losing him. I want him back... I can't stop crying,inside I'm dieing.. I don't know if I should get rid of all the pictures because this will only cause me sorrow and sadness.. I don't what to do.. :/
