Is Loyalty considered a mental disorder in the modern world...something akin to stupidity?

The modern culture has somehow shaped it to appear that way. People are too busy with so much that being loyal seems as if its only for fools, since there is so much 'out there' to see and experience and no one wants to stay in anything longer than they have to. However, even the old fashioned rules are always looked highly upon in the end wherever you go in life. I will say that even though loyalty should pay off in the end, sadly, sometimes it does not. Its best to 'see' what one is getting into without jeopardizing our morals.
