What the heck is up with this CD?

I recently got myself In Absentia by Porcupine Tree on CD, and, well, when I put it into my XBox 360 so I could listen to it from my TV, it sounded horrifyingly clipped (like, so bad, Steven Wilson would've been suicidal, so bad, even, that I wasn't far from it), and I could barely even hear it. I put in the second disc to see if the issue was isolated, but that, too, was terribly afflicted. When all hope was nearly lost, I placed it into my computer, and like an angel from heaven itself, the music was clear and beautiful like I remembered it. What exactly is wrong with this CD, or, is it my XBox that is the issue? No other CD I have had this problem, not even another Porcupine Tree album (The Incident). Thank you in advance for your input.
