Need help with character reaction?

She's a drunk party girl losing a (close?) friend in a vehicle crash she was in, she must be shocked, she might be hurt physically and emotionally. In a crash of such intensity that the driver dies, the other passengers have also been thrown around and lucky to be alive. If she's in the vehicle she doesn't 'witness' the accident, she lives through the accident. Or did she get out and then the car implodes? If hours or days have passed, her body will be very painful. She might be sulking, bleary eyed, remorseful as friends don't let friends drive drunk. She's an alcoholic and the crash is but the next excuse for more 'drowning of sorrow'. She's on a downward spiral and the crash is the accelerating factor. It could have been the turning point but it clearly was not and unless someone, father, mother, brother, sister, uncle, friend straightens her she's lost.
