Cancer as mental disease/society as immune system. A reasonable analogy?

Not to me. I think of cancer as an abnormal mutation in the DNA that occurs naturally or from an outside influence. The part that makes cancer a natural occurrence is where your analogy fall apart. Also when you consider the justice system NOT being blind, but at times corrupt and pandering to the wealthy and powerful, society itself becomes the cancer causing agent.
